Running from the Aberdare mountains to the shores of Lake Naivasha, through the Kinangop Plateau human induced habitat degradation has been rampant reading to loss critical biodiversity and their habitat. Since our establishment, we have been majorly working to reduce the said habitat degradation.

Our achievement ranges from purchasing four Nature Reserves, planting over 200,000 indigenous trees on river riparian and Aberdare Mountains, physical grassland replanting and weed removal to over 4000ha, controlling over 1000ha of private grasslands through Sheep for Longclaw Project

Our conservation interventions are informed by science, thus biodiversity and habitat research and monitoring are key pillars part of our work.

Together with partners, we have fronted research and conservation work of critical biodiversity and their habitats.

The local community is at the heart of our operations, cognizant that we are working on private land.

Therefore, raising conservation awareness and educating the future conservation leaders is vital to sustainability of our efforts.

Community Empowerment

Across the globe, poverty is associated with environment degradation. Closer home, our area of operation is occupied by rural poor who depend on small scale agriculture intensive rain fed agriculture.

We work to look into options for alternative and sustainable livelihood options. Major successfully implemented projects are in bee keeping, wool spinning with a workshop and operational and in eco-tourism with trained tour guides and accommodation facilities
